I am not an Ornithologist, but just your basic Birder
I have found a new pastime- but with some research I have found I am not an Ornithologist but your basic Birder (otherwise known as a Bird Watcher)- An Ornithologist studies birds, a Birder just watches them and tries to identify them- I am not sure if the birds have migrated early this year or if I just never noticed them- The leaves just started to pop out this week and I have been watching the new neighbors get settled and find food- I have a row of trees outside my apartment to sort of screen my building from the next building- And the suburban birds love this small grove- And the local squirrels and of course those nasty neighborhood hoodlum felines, that have been casually walking around waiting for a squirrel or bird to fall prey- Now with the leaves filling out the trees it will be more difficult to locate my personal serenader's and then identify them- I am used to the usual suburbia avians; sparrows, finches, robins, and cardinals- but this year I have seen additional avians that I have never seen up close and personal- And with the help of my mother's bird book I have identified a few: Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker, Hermit Thrush, a Purple Finch (who was serenading me well past dark the other night), and this little guy who I am guessing is either a female Ruby-Crowned Kinglet or immature something else- I just don't know what it is- It is the size of a golf ball- And he/she doesn't sit still very long.If you see me looking out my window don't worry I am just trying to identify my serenader's.

My First Senior Moment
Most "senior moments" that happen to an individual who hasn't even hit retirement age are probably called something else- But to me this was definitely a senior moment (I turned 35 a few weeks ago) For some of you who wear eyeglasses on a daily basis, you might have pity for me, because this may have happened to you.........Have you ever lost your eye wear?
And if your vision is NOT 20/20, relocating the eye wear could be all the more difficult in finding them - I knew that I had just put them down a minute ago- I systematically checked all the rooms that I was recently in- I checked the bathroom vanity, the computer desk, the nightstand, I remembered standing near the dresser an hour ago when I changed out of my work clothes, nothing. Then I RE-CHECK all of the previous listed locations, because maybe just maybe I overlooked them with my very POOR eyesight....... I begin to feel desperate and checked the kitchen counter even though I knew I hadn't been in the kitchen since I got home from work..........Now I am starting to think I am more than blind but also totally mental.............oh found them
Guess where I found them....yep, on top of my head!!!!!!

The Door at the End of the Hallway:
Saratee's Room
Enter at Your Own Risk
Saratee has an offical OFFICE SPACE/CREATIVE SPACE. Yeah my roommate moved out and her bedroom has been turned into a 12ft by 15ft of Creative Chaos- Who knows maybe with the Feng Shui postioning of my desk, I might be inspired to creative write again??

Vegas Souvenirs
I had created a scavenger hunt of sorts for my trip to Vegas- A scavenger hunt for my kooky kitchy souvenirs- I knew I needed a shot glass- Not that I collect them but I actually need another one and thought getting one from my Sin City vacation would be appropriate since booze always leads to Sins and I knew I wanted a few matchbooks but forgot this and actually started to collect them on the second day- But I have more than enough- I collect dice and where better to pick some up than the Gaming Capital- But I didn't get the ones with my name on them because they didn't have the correct spelling of Saratee- Go Figure- And lastly my Squisshhed Pennies- I prepared myself before even landing in Nevada with the actual places and addresses of the machines with the best images- And by chance found more machines than I was looking for- I squisshhed a total of 18 pennies from Vegas- A few duplicate images in case I feel like giving them away to some other squisshed pennies enthusiasts?? I also got some other fun souvenirs that I had not planned on buying but I am glad I did- I love kitchy souvenirs!!!

Why do people laugh when I say I took 360 photographs when I was on Vacation?
Is that strange?
I will edit through them and will have some more up this weekend-
